Horse carriage tour

Do you know the smell of flowers and grass on the Puszta? Have you ever seen the waving mirage in the summer? The view of a grey cattle herd in the distance? The flowing sight of the racka flock? The cooling buffalos in a muddy lake? Have you ever heard the sound of cowbell? The poundig hooves of the stud? The snapping sound of bullwhips? The shimmering cobwebs in autumn? Or the tumbleweed that is blown away by the wind? Visit one of the oldest studs in Hungary, where by joining our carriage tour you can experience the same feeling that inspired our poets and painters. While sitting on a cart you can get to know our traditional domestic animals such as the grey cattle, racka sheep, domestic buffalo and the nonius horse breed. On the horsemen show you can be mesmerized by the perfect harmony between horse and man, you can take a look at the everyday life of them that has been the same for a few hundred years and you can also see the imressive four oxen cart. After the tour you can wonder around the stud, visit the stables and the pottery shop, where Jozsef K. Nagy manufactures the beautiful and very unique black potteries. Come into Cafe Nyerges for a refresher, a coffee before or after the puszta carriage tour. Here you can get an insight into the everyday life of the Central Stable through a glass wall. In the Visitor Center you can find an exhibition referring to horses and a souvenir shop too.
