Extra safari

The large grazing animals can be observed closely during the extra safari program. Visitors can book a trip with a land rover with expert guidance to the wild horses and auroxes. The program which has an extra fee takes 25 minutes, and max. 7 visitors can join in one turn. The extra safari program depends on the weather conditions. 

Application for the extra safari: on the spot at the souvenir shop.

Approach: accessible only by the bus of the Hortobágy National Park starting from the parking place of Hortobágyi Csárda. It starts in every hour and comes back in every half an hour. Last pach starts 2 hours before closing time exept winter time.

The Wild Animal Park ticket office is in the Tourinform Office in the building of Hortobágyi Csárda.

The extra safari takes about 20-25 minutes, the whole program takes about 1 hour 45 minutes.
